All told, you will see the beautiful six lighthouses of the bay, plus the eight standing forts, many of which were integral to US success and defense in World War II. You’ll even learn a bit of history, such as Portland’s role in supporting the UK’s resistance in the second world war. We will make some detours to visit sea lion sunning spots and see other wildlife. These trips take about two hours and can be combined with short fishing trips to keep the fun going.
This is a great way to spend a couple of hours with your kids out on the water. If your kids haven’t been out on the water before, this is a great way to introduce them to it and get them their sea legs before trying a fishing trip.
